Defoaming agent is also known as anti-foam agent or defoamer chemical, which is widely used to eliminate harmful bubbles in the production process of latex, textile sizing, food fermentation, bio-medicine, pesticides, coatings, petrochemical, paper, industrial cleaning and other industries. In the industrial production process, many harmful foams will be produced, so it’s necessary to add defoaming agent.
Defoaming agent is mostly liquid compound products and mainly divided into three categories: mineral oil defoaming agent, organic silicon defoaming agent and polyether defoaming agent. Mineral oil defoamer chemical is usually composed of carriers, active agents and the like. Carrier is the material of a low surface tension, its role is to carry and dilute. Water, fatty alcohol are commonly used carriers; Active agent is to inhibit and eliminate the foam, commonly using wax, aliphatic amide, fat and so on. Silicone defoamer generally include PDMS and the like. Silicone defoamer solubility is poor and can quickly defoam at room temperature and is better at bubble suppression. However, at high temperature, Silicone defoaming agent will stratificate, the defoaming speed is low and bubble suppression is poor. Polyether defoamer chemicals include polyoxypropylene oxyethylene glycerol ether and the like. Polyether defoamer has the advantage if long-time bubble suppression, good effect, fast defoaming speed, good thermal stability and so on. For example, in the production process of fruit and vegetable drinks, soy products, sugar and other products it will use a defoaming agent.

1. Directly add HT-910 into the foaming system to guarantee its even dispersing. According to the system that has a higher foaming system (>60℃), it is suggested to add HT- 910 in the system before 60℃ to ensure its best performance with even dispersing.
2. Adjusts the amount of HT- 910 by 10 ppm according to viscosity, temperature and stir, while in general, amount of 30 – 200 ppm can achieve a satisfied defoaming performance.
The amount may come to 2 – 5% in zymolysis in some fields.
